We believe in one God who created and sustains the world. God is seen as loving, just, and all-powerful.
The Bible
- The Bible is our holy book.
- It consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament (focused on Jesus and the early Church).
- We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is the final authority in matters of faith and life
The Trinity
God exists in three persons:
- God the Father
- God the Son (Jesus Christ)
- God the Holy Spirit
This concept is known as the Trinity — one God in three persons.
Jesus Christ
- We believe Jesus is the Son of God, both fully divine and fully human.
- He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and taught about God's kingdom.
- Jesus was crucified, died for the sins of humanity, and rose from the dead on the third day (this is called the Resurrection).
- He later ascended to heaven and will return one day to judge the living and the dead.
Salvation
- We believe that humans are sinful and separated from God.
- Through Jesus' death and resurrection, people can be forgiven and reconciled with God.
- Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus, not by good works alone.
The Church
- The Church is the global community of us
- It serves as a place of worship, fellowship, teaching, and mission.
- Practices such as baptism and communion (the Lord's Supper) are important rituals.
